My Girl Studios Movie Monday

One of my favorite movies! is the movie called Juice which was directed by one of my favorite cinematographers! what's a cinematographer? you may ask:) well here's what they do A cinematographer (usually credited with the title director of photography, or DP) is the chief over the camera and lighting crews working on a film, and responsible for achieving artistic and technical decisions related to the image. The study and practice of this field is referred to as cinematography. Well one of my favorites is Ernest Dickerson I fell in love with his work when I saw that film! the flow of the movie and how it was shot! made me want to know more about him. There's a classic shot! where the character's played by Tupac And Omar Epps meet up at school and Omar Epps aka as Q goes into his locker! and when he shuts the locker door Boom! there's Bishop aka Tupac when I first saw that I was like Omg!!for me that was classic! and then toward the end there the scene where Bishop comes out of the shadows to confront Q and I'm like my goodness! how did he come up with that scene??the film is a coming of age hip hop film that gets the same feel of another classic Cooley High! and not to forget the many faces of Samuel Jackson especially when Bishop & Q come with their stories of what when down! here's a picture of the classic locker shot! Bishop being interrogated! more photos from the movie Juice and how do you forget Steele:)I think everybody had a pair of over walls back in the day! and how do you forget the music! which always plays a huge role in a film! And how can you forget the end of this film! just love Omar Epps eyes on this shot! how he moves and it stops! and all you see are the eyes! the expression alone says it all! I would love to know the back story on how this all came together the cast! everything!
